The Max Planck Institute for Informatics is located on the campus of Saarland University, approx. 5 km north-east of the center of Saarbrücken.
Saarbrücken has its own airport Saarbrücken-Ensheim(SCN) and has convenient train and shuttle bus connections to the international airports in Frankfurt (FRA) and Luxemburg (LUX).
Main lines connect Saarbrücken with other German cities as well as Metz, Nancy, and Paris.
There are major highways leading to Mannheim/Frankfurt, Luxemburg/Trier/Köln, Strassbourg, and Metz/Nancy/Paris.

- take next exit, direction Dudweiler
- turn right direction Universität-Ost
- turn right into the campus
